The Role and Team We are currently looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer who has a passion for technological challenges and a high desire to learn, who embraces a dynamic environment, and who will help us scale out our existing infrastructure, tend to incidents, and deploy new cutting-edge tools.
This engineer will focus on the Medallia MXO product running in Azure, but will be engaged across other products over time.
Responsibilities Collaborate with product-engineering teams, build strong relationships and solve complex challenges together with a focus on Azure and the MXO product Troubleshoot complex problems that may span the full service stack Optimize performance and scalability of components across the full service Be part of the SRE team's on-call rotation for escalations IMPORTANT NOTE: This role will require being on a rotating on-call shift which includes being available during evenings, weekends and holidays when scheduled.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of experience with Site Reliability Engineering, Systems Operations, and/or related roles Experience working with cross-functional teams Experience with building, configuring, and maintaining operational monitoring and reporting tools, deploying and managing Azure core services, and utilizing Kubernetes Operations in on-premises and cloud environments (Triage + Troubleshoot) Incident management and change management Complex information security concepts Jenkins pipelines and management of Jenkins frameworks Knowledge of Linux OS and technologies like networking, DNS, LDAP, Redis Scripting skills (Python, Bash, Groovy, Go, etc) Developing and maintaining infrastructure-as-code scripts and templates Kubernetes or similar containerized environments and management Networking and routing skills (VPNs, IP subnetting) Understanding of release approaches (roll-out, canary, blue/green) Availability for on-call rotations Preferred Qualifications Experience with orchestration tools (Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation) Network infrastructure and firewall rule management Relational databases like PostgreSQL NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, MongoDB CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, ArgoCD SSL certificates and key management Project leadership across multiple teams Strong communication skills Semi-Senior IT Systems Engineer, Collaboration Tools Medallia
