Software Engineer Backend You will join a team of 10 engineers in crafting solutions to some of the most complex data plumbing problems in the world in diagnostics today, there are 18 Billion data points generated in systems that are not only inaccessible but were never designed to talk to each other. You will be helping create enterprise:scale software systems to tackle the fragmentation of this data. You will be up close and personal with all the usual things, like design conception, design reviews for components or features, development and testing of the core software stack.

How you will spend your time
Software Development: This is a hands:on youre writing high:quality code for software that will perform at scale, be supportable, and be extensible, kind of role.

Process and Operations: Ensuring the software stack integrates with our existing CI pipeline and contributing to continuous improvements; independently design, plan and deliver high:quality software.
Leadership: Ensuring we amplify our culture. Embody our value for technical excellence, integrity and support and compassion for individuals.
Key skills and requirements
5+ years experience:
Backend development experience (Java, Scala, Clojure, Node.js, and others).
REST API design and implementation.
Working with relational DBs (MS SQL, Oracle, etc) and 2+ years with non:SQL DB (Cassandra, Mongo, etc).
Good understanding of:
Micro:services architecture, containers (Docker) and cloud technologies (AWS).
Front:end technologies and platforms (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3).
Experience working with:
Globally distributed teams.
Teams using CI, CD, and automated testing.
Tools like Jira, GitHub, Jenkins.
Product:oriented with a pragmatic approach.
Commitment to Agile practice, and scalable architecture.
Team worker.
(preferred) full:stack experience, with expertise in at least one layer.
(plus) 3+ years experience in testing software (QA) including functional (black:box) testing and exploratory testing with web and mobile applications.
