As a Software Engineering Lead your mission will be to guide and coach a team of highly skilled Software Engineers on designing and developing next generation solutions to enable J.P. Morgan's business across Latin America to grow and innovate.
Your responsibilities will be to lead multiple Agile teams supporting Market Adapter, a strategic regional platform supporting critical business functions across all Latin America branches (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru), andwill include understanding business and technology strategy, having in-depth understanding of the platform architecture, being able to articulate challenges,
issues and risks faced by engineering teams and work with multiple stakeholders on proposing and implementing solutions.
You will work with global, regional and local teams from multiple functional areas to ensure delivery of a complex business agenda while also driving the platform through a comprehensive technology modernization agenda covering objectives such as Cloud Migration, fully automated CI/CD and adoption of global standards for Access Provisioning, Identity Management and Data Protection.
You will also have a critical role in team development and growth, working with team members on short and long-term career goals, fostering a culture of learning and improvement, and ensuring a healthy, inclusive and diverse environment where each individual is challenged and motivated to achieve his/her full potential.
Bachelor degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related area5+ years of Java development experience with Spring Framework2+ years experience as a Team Lead - team building, career planning, technical coaching and mentoringStrong communication in English - written and verbalAdvanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplinesExperience with Cloud platforms (Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes) and Cloud Native architectural patterns (Microservices, CQRS, Event Sourcing)Proficiency with following practices: Test-Driven Development, Pair Programming, Continuous Integration, Continuous DeploymentExperience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
Following additional skills will be considered a plus: Good communication in Portuguese/SpanishKnowledge in financial products: Fixed Income, Equities, Derivatives, FX
