Description
Objective of the job: Provide finance and accounting related information timeously, through forecasting, preparation, analyze and interpretation of financial records to key stakeholders in accordance with IFRS and MBAG accounting principles, specifically related to General ledger reporting and MIF reporting with specific attention in terms of IFRS requirements. Analyzing and understanding all Finance processes and building efficiencies in terms of automation of manual tasks. Preparation of the annual group and standalone financial statements in accordance with group, IFRS and JSE requirements.Providing technical IFRS support to all business areas to ensure all financial bookings and processes are done in line with IFRS Requirements. Main Tasks: Monthly GL reporting and MIF reporting:Ensure that all GL account are mapped in the MIF Drilldown. Financial Closing Flow System Managed to ensure the smooth flow of month end activities, all new changed activities advised to MBGSP in the agreed format and timeline. Financial statement preparation:Preparation of MBSA Company and Group AFS in an accurate and timely manner in line with local and JSE reporting guidelines. Financial Process assessments: Constant review of all current and new financial processes to ensure that processes are done in line with MBAG guidelines.Further assessment and enhancement of processes to bring in efficiencies and automation. IFRS technical assistance: Providing technical IFRS assistance to all business areas to ensure that all financial accounting related to business processes are done in line with IFRS guidelines. Project management:Providing of project management tasks for any projects with an impact in the finance area. Knowledge, Skills and Attributes: SAP Knowledge MS Office suite knowledge IFRS technical knowledge Ability to work under pressure and problem solving Ability to lead projects.
