Speech And Language Therapist

We are currently looking to recruit a passionate and enthusiastic Speech and Language therapist to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

This role includes a small caseload as well as an advisory component to staff.

Roles and Responsibilties include:

- Assessment, review, and monitoring of the progress of new and current patients using a combination of formal and informal test materials and tools.

- Provision of therapy to individual service uses throughout the day.

- Setting and reviewing communication targets and strategies and annual review reports.

- Liasing with staff and patients so that therapy techniques and strategies can be disseminated and feedback obtained.

- Work with the Admin and wider team to promote a multidisciplinary team approach and to provide specialist advice relating to the appropriate.

- Contribute to and attend multidisciplinary meetings such as behaviour support planning.

- Maintaining a diary and engaging in the appraisal process.

The successful candidate must have:

- Registered member of the RCSLT and HCPC.

- Hold a professional Speech and Language therapy degree or equivalent.

- Qualification in dysphagia (or a willingness to undertake).

- Good written and verbal communication skills.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to relate to others and develop good working relationships.

- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH/SEND.
