The Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Sourcing Specialist located in Bahia Blanca (ARG).
The main purpose of the Sourcing Specialist role is to source and manage a portfolio of industrial services.
This role creates value by following the strategic sourcing work process for their assigned portfolio.
This role may be responsible for the implementation of commercial agreements and related work processes in accordance with the strategies within the geography and/or commercial area.
Responsibilities:Utilizes the Strategic Sourcing Process (SSP) and associated governance protocol for sourcing projects including:Working with system data on actual purchases, identify value opportunities, develop tactical and strategic plans to capture value, align with partner strategies, negotiate and implement supply agreements.Provide sourcing support for Dow businesses/functions by working with the partner to clarify the scope of service, quality, volume, and logistics requirements.
This may include the suggestion of sourcing alternatives available to partners, should requirements lists be modified.Identify suppliers capable of meeting Dow's requirements, developing pricing that is consistent with Dow's requirement, and maintain communication with Partners/Stakeholders.Negotiate commercial agreements or spot purchases required to support business partners, manufacturing sites, and capital projects.Utilize available Zycus tool (e.g.
ISource, ISave, etc) to the fullest capability.Maintain basic knowledge of suppliers including key market intelligence, product or service forecasting, updated site sourcing guides where applicable and relevant market developments such as mergers & acquisitions, financial status, and changes in key personnel.Work effectively cross-functionally and within Purchasing to manage or resolve process or supplier related issues as with PtP, Supply Chain and Manufacturing & Engineering.Focus on value delivery and sustainable competitive advantage for the Function/Business Partner.Ability to persuade others through effective communication skills (both oral and written).Initiative to challenge inefficiencies, process deviations, and strategy deviations.Utilization of data analysis skills to effectively identify value opportunities.Responsive to partner needs.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree Business administration/Economy/Industrial Organization/Engineering.Experience of working with multiple functions or businesses.5 years of Strategic Sourcing experience, At least 5 years of negotiation experience and/or at least 5 years within Dow in a commercial, shared services, industrial/manufacturing, or engineering related job role.Knowledge of labor legislation, finance and local and national industrial service markets will be highly valued.SSP (Strategic Sourcing Process) knowledge will be very well appreciated.English level: Intermediate/Advanced (desirable).Your Skills:Proactive Problem Solving - anticipate issues and analyze all risk aspects, proactively resolving them in alignment with partners and providers.Influencing Skills - ability to implement projects or initiatives by working more on influence and persuasion to successfully implement projects and resolve conflicts.Request for Proposals (RFP) - knowledge in conducting tenders for large, complex contracts for maintenance, engineering, operation, etc., of industrial plants.Supplier Relationship Management - knowledge and strategic management of suppliers regarding performance evaluation, strategic collaboration, risk analysis, among other points, to maximize the value of interactions with suppliers.Procurement Purchasing - knowledge in purchasing processes and procedures from requisition creation to negotiation and service execution.Negotiation - experience and knowledge in negotiating umbrella service contracts and the ability to negotiate with internal clients.Communication - ability to maintain a permanent and continuous communication channel, building trust with partners, providers, and other stakeholders.To apply:Sign in or create your account.Make sure your resume is accessible.
