Job Summary The Technical Inside Sales Specialist (TIS) is responsible for supporting sales operations in various capacities for a defined geography. In this role, incumbent is responsible for assisting customers, sales team and Distributors with technical inquires, such as filter sizing, filter and/or other technology recommendations, product information. The objective of this position is that the incumbent works with 80% of the smaller FTAP customers, allowing external sales people to focus on the 20% of the important customers. The incumbent will be also responsible for maintaining the ISO 9001 Certification for the company.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

- Support field sales efforts by handling customer inquiries and providing product and technical support.
- Prepare sales quotations and proposals for direct customers, distributors and direct sales teams.
- Coordinate with internal and external technical resources to support specific customer requests, applications and sales opportunities.
- Provide customer feedback to Sales Management and Marketing.
- Prepare weekly and monthly activity reports to assess territory and market conditions.
- Travel sporadically with Field Sales Personnel to provide technical support to customers.
- Prepares detailed technical and commercial proposals for the FTAP customers.
- Works closely with Sales and customers to integrate Pall systems into customer’s process. Performs appropriate calculations to ensure proper sizing and design.
- Supports system proposal preparation, participates in customer presentations as required.
- Identify when the escalation of incomplete follow-up actions, or unresolved quotation issues, are required.
- Prepares the cost estimates for projects to support preparation of commercial proposals to customers.
- Provides technical support to outside sales organization, identifying applications solutions, as per customer needs and potential opportunity.
- Provides analysis on material and financial costs for the projects.
- Guarantees company quality management system is maintained under the ISO 9001 requirements, creating and updating policies and procedures, running annual internal audits in the areas, establishing improvement action plans to non-conforming processes, coordinating with external certified consultant the maintenance of the certification.
- Performs other related activities as required by management.
- Understands and complies with all company Quality, Safety and Security, Finance and HR policies and procedures as related to this position, including reading all relevant quality, safety and security literature, using the required protective equipment and practicing good housekeeping.

Qualifications

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, with focus in Fluids, Mechanical, with 4-5 years of progressive experience in commercial operations, inside sales / customer services.
- Strong understanding of industrial market process development and production processes and operation, e.g. Petroleum, Energy, Automotive, Mining, Primary Metals and Pulp and Paper. Also required knowledge in quality management and ISO certification.
- Work independently with little supervision, but also strong sense of teamwork. Self-starter, strong sense of initiative, and a quick learner.
- Customer focus, results driven, well organized and be able to handle several multi-tasks simultaneously; effective communication internal and externally; team building / relationship building; analytical thinking / decision making.
- Desired courses / knowledge: SAP SD modules. Microsoft Office Package (Advanced Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook).
- Desired knowledge of Funnel Management and experience as end user of CRM database. Also desired experience with internal auditing for ISO 9001 certification.
- Advanced in English.
- Availability to travel up to 25%.
