Key responsibilities
Your main tasks will be:Having a leading role and responsible on-site for implementation and ensuring compliance with the vessel maintenance programs that are presently in place or which may be introduced in the future.Responsible for approval and control of all requisitions for the SVITZER vessels servicing ports in Buenos Aires, Bahia Blanca and Necochea facilities.Participating in vendor selection, supervision and cost control of all maintenance and repair work performed by third party vendors.Participate in arranging local procurement for engine, technical departments of the local tugs in accordance with company requirements and instructions. This includes the full use of the purchase system, limited negotiating with local suppliers and arranging logistics.Preparing and submitting regular reports as required to enable ongoing review of the operations and results of the company against Plans and Budgets.Preparing and submitting assessments as required of any technical staff and conducting assessments of new team-members to ensure quality of hires.Oversee compliance and conduct internal audits for assigned vessels, ensuring adherence to HMS system and procedures.Performs other ad hoc tasks as required.
We are looking for
Minimum 5 years of experience in marine technical field.Excellent oral and written English.Good knowledge of applicable rules and regulations (ISM, ISPS, MARPOL, SOLAS, etc.)Ability to plan, coordinate, and monitor the work performed by marine technical staff on multiple vesselsGood communication skills across multiple levels in the organization and with external and internal stakeholders.Ability to work in a global business environment with a strong sense of cultural diversity.Flexibility to travel for short periods if required
