Temporary position to assist the Global Engineering Manager in the administration and development of the BU projects during a fixed period of 6 months.
Although this function is temporary, the selected person will be evaluated and considered for a possible future role in the organization of initially Rosario in Maintenance, Production or Projects.
Functions
30 Assist the Engineering Manager in the preparation of Capital Investment documents, such as drawings, plans, cost estimations, other technical technical information related, looking for potential suppliers. Follow up of project controls. Prepare of project reports.
Supports more complex manufacturing and supply chain operations by analyzing and developing recommendations in regards to failures, downtime and lost production and identifies/implement solutions to improve reliability within acceptable risk tolerance for assets and business sustainability.
25 :Develops, implements and provides project/engineering support to base/non:base projects. May directly lead and/or provide engineering support/execution on build project management for more complex engineering projects in accordance to the Project Delivery Process (PDP). Ensures project objectives and scope are aligned with business strategy and plant operations governance practices. May directly lead and/or monitor/support progress for More Complex projects (medium level of complexity) ensuring appropriate resources allocation (includes existing (brown field) and new more complex projects (green field).
Directly/Indirectly provides day:to:day technical and engineering support specific to a domain area(s) required for normal operations as well as project engineering tactical support (i.e. preparing of scope, budgets, design flows/diagrams, commissions, start:up schedules, equipment selection, process documentation, instrumentations/controls, etc) to more complex base and non:base selected capital projects.
15 :Keeps abreast of emerging Manufacturing Technology development; proposes solutions and supports the development and deployment of a core ManufacturingTechnology leading practices. Assists translating manufacturing technology needs into clear and concise specifications that can be transferred and acted upon by cross functional groups (i.e. R and D, Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, Environmental, Health, Safety/Food Safety groups, Process Safety Management, Automation Systems and Controls etc).
10 : Develop Best Practices capturing the learning on the above activities. Ensure accumulated knowledge and Best Practices are appropriately shared and captured within the organizationto build a Capital advantage.
10 Assist the Engineering Manager in monitoring the CAPEX of the BU on a monthly basis, as well as the portfolio of Base Level projects.
10 Tasks related to Engineering and Capital deployment, such as BP.
Required Qualifications
- Engineer degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering preferred. Other engineering disciplines could be evaluated (Chemical or Industrial)
- 4 years of experience in Maintenance or Capital Project execution preferred
- Languages: Fluent in Spanish and English (writing and speaking)
- Knowledge in Project Management advisable.
- Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Listening, speaking, writing, presenting, discussing and negotiating; Interpersonal skills: team player, respectful, asks questions, teaching and mentoring, convincing
- Proficient in Office, MS Project and AutoCAD.
- Ability to travel 20 for short time assignment in other locations
