Summary of Role / Job :
Global Registration and Regulatory Compliance (GRRC) provides global regulatory leadership, expertise, and execution for the information/dossier development, product registration, and lifecycle management of all SC Johnson products.
This role reports to Director, Registration and regulatory Compliance, Latin America
The Manager RRC Southern Cone will manage & coordinate local compliance activities for all SCJ products in assigned countries (Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile). Serve as single point of contact for all product related compliance inquiries in responsible countries.
Primary Accountabilities:
:: Serve as functional and administrative manager for 3 local compliance staff as well as local consultants, who have responsibilities for a select group of countries.
:: Accountable for compliance in "home" country.
:: Ensure that GSARA processes are understood and implemented in assigned countries. Support local compliance staff as they implement compliance procedures.
:: Ensure local activities are focused on and aligned with regional and global plans and priority lists.
:: Summarize and communicate regulatory requirements to the region/global.
:: Plan, organize, and conduct (or supervise) formal meetings with regulatory agencies as necessary to achieve registration/compliance. Interact with key personnel in regulatory agencies to ensure the timely resolution of issues, and the approval of registration actions.
:: Provide interpretive analyses of complex regulatory guidance documents, regulations, or directives that impact the company's products and operations, summarize implications for affected functions.
:: Ensure necessary data requirements for registration dossiers in countries are communicated to region/global.
:: Respond to requests from global or regional project teams to provide critical input into registration needs for product launch globally or within region.
:: Continuously evaluate the regulatory climate of the assigned countries, identify potential issues which may arise, work to favorably impact the outcome of emerging or existing issues.
:: When appropriate, serve on government or industry task forces as a representative of the company in partnership with Government Relations. Seek to favorably impact registration requirements which will benefit the SCJ regulated business.
Qualifications:
:: 5+ years work experience in compliance-related field with progressively broadening responsibilities
:: Proven situational leadership skills and demonstrated experience in influencing internal stakeholders as well as forging strong relationships with colleagues
:: Experience with people management and team leadership is desired.
:: Skills to work in an international context with different cultures.
:: Commanding knowledge of compliance requirements in "home" country.
:: Good communication skills, must be able to summarize and articulate technical information to diverse audiences both verbally and in writing
:: Problem solving skills with the ability to bring project to final conclusion.
:: A "can do" attitude and willingness to drive change that may not be inspired by him/her and is being asked of him/her
Type of Education/Certifications:
:: BS or MS degree preferably in a related science (chemistry, biology etc.)
