Santa Fe, NM Requirements: Current New Mexico Physical Therapist licensure & BLS via AHA certification required. Shift: Shift M-W-F 9-5:30; Tues-Thurs 10-6:30 Position Title: Physical Therapist, Sports Medicine Department: Sports Medicine Position Summary: Assess and treat neuromusculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory systems by physical or mechanical means to maintain or restore function impaired by injury or disease, for pain management and promotion of mobility and health, as prescribed by the referring physician.
Develop, implement, and monitor the plan of care, perform and direct administration of physical therapy modalities, and collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
Minimum Qualifications: Education: Doctorate, Masters, Bachelors, or Associate Degree in Physical Therapy.
Certifications/Licenses: Current New Mexico Physical Therapist licensure & BLS certification required.
Skills: Demonstrates accountability and skills in assessment/evaluation, decision-making, and time management.Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and organizational skills.Experience: None required.
Supervision: Responsible to: Director/Manager Sports Medicine
Environment: Works in a clean, well-lighted, ventilated, smoke-free environment.
Potential exposure to communicable diseases, combative patients, and hazardous chemicals.
Subject to stressful professional relationships.
Physical Requirements: Good physical condition.
Prolonged standing and walking.
Lifts, positions, and transfers patients.
Lifts supplies up to 50 lbs.
Potential strains from lifting heavy patients and equipment.
