Supports health and safety program implementation for office and manufacturing environments
Anticipates, recognizes, and evaluates workplace health hazards (chemicals, noise, ergonomics, machine safety, etc.) and recommends proper control strategies to manage identified risks
Reviews processes, facilities, procedures and management of change documents to assure conformance to recognized EHS regulations, standards and guidelines
Provides support to client groups in completing injury/illness analysis, training, self-assessments and addressing specific EHS concerns as they are raised
Develops EHS procedures, guidelines and training programs as assigned
Monitors key safety performance indicators and visibly participate in promoting EHS policies and initiatives
Provides support to client groups in completing incident and near miss analysis, training, self-assessments and addressing specific EHS concerns as they are raised
Supports above site teams to solve company wide health and safety challenges where needed
Establish and maintain excellent communication processes to ensure site management, Production, and affected employees understand the workplace hazards, exposures, and accompanying risks, as well as the needed control strategies
Provide technical support for new projects and modifications to ensure proper design review, containment verification, as well as routine / maintenance evaluation after and before process / equipment installed / implemented
Safety Technician Degree, with demonstrated ability to practice the profession.
Minimum 3 years of work experience in manufacturing industries
Demonstrated experience developing and applying health and safety standards in a highly regulated industry Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, ability to work transparently and with a sense of urgency
Ability to analyze data, interpret results/ trends, decide appropriate, cost effective corrective actions and provide clear recommendations to stakeholders Excellent technical, communication, critical thinking and problem solving skills
