Our intuitive technology allows vehicle owners to check-in and out how, when, and where they want – whether at home, in a dealership, or outdoors securely. We work with top brands such as BMW, Mercedes, Volkswagen and Porsche to provide the easiest check-in and check-out processes for their customers and aftersales teams.
Our services include both software (SaaS) and integrated hardware (IoT).
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented BI Developer to join Tjekvik.
The BI Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions that provide valuable insights to support decision-making processes.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, data modeling, and proficiency in BI tools.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to understand business objectives, reporting and analytics requirements.
- Design and develop scalable and efficient business intelligence solutions, including data models, dashboards, and reports.
- Implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from various sources into the data warehouse.
- Assist in data visualization to present insights in a clear and meaningful way.
- Communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Conduct database queries to extract relevant information for analysis.
- Optimize and troubleshoot BI solutions to ensure performance and data accuracy.
- Create and maintain documentation for BI solutions, including data models, ETL processes, and report specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data quality and analysis processes.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in business intelligence and data analytics.
- Provide training and support to end-users to ensure effective use of BI tools.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure data security and compliance with data governance policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a BI Developer or similar role.
- Proficiency in Cognos BI tool
- Knowledge of other BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently or collaboratively in a team.
- Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
- Proficient in SQL and scripting languages for data manipulation and transformation.
- Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehouse concepts.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to convey technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Ruby and RoR
- Knowledge of data governance and security best practices is a plus.
