If you have experience in routine preventative maintenance & repair of systems and equipment including: HVAC&R, pumps, generators, air compressors, air dryers, kitchen equipment, vacuum pumps, lift stations, water treatment, gas monitoring, lighting, building automation, fire control, and digital environmental monitoring systems, this job could be for you.
In this role, you would be managing projects, planned equipment replacement, troubleshooting and analysis of equipment & systems.
A Day in the Life
You will be part of a team that
• works in a cGMP environment where timely, accurate, and complete documentation is required.
• plans and manages all aspects of preventative, corrective, predictive and emergency maintenance of equipment and systems
• performs readings, measurements, and calibrations
• trains other team members in area of expertise
• troubleshoots and repairs systems & equipment, including root cause identification
• installs and/or relocates equipment
• coordinates and manages contractors
• uses a Building Automation System to manage environmental parameters
• is on call, carrying a phone or pager for 24-hour response on a rotating schedule.
Must Haves - Minimum Requirements
• High School Diploma or GeD
• 4+ years of experience as a building mechanic, maintenance mechanic or plant operations related position in a commercial building environment;
- or -
• 6+ years of experience in one or more of the following trades; HVAC&R, Electrical, Plumbing, Mechanical, welding and fabrication, or water treatment
• Must have a valid California driver’s license
• EPA 608 Universal Refrigerant Certification
Nice to Have
• Ability to successfully balance and prioritize multiple ongoing projects/tasks
• Current forklift operator certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire.
• Current aerial lift operator or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire
• Working knowledge of HVAC&R, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical building systems.
• Familiar with the operation and functions of a digital volt meter and/or amp meter.
• Ability to read and understand schematics, and CAD drawings.
• Familiarity in operator-level use of building automation systems (e.g. ALC, Metasys, etc.) in a commercial building environment.
• Experience operating and performing maintenance on central plant equipment including boilers, chillers, compressors, pumps, variable frequency drives, etc
• Two year trade school certificate or equivalent training in HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing.
• Operator level experience with building automation & fire systems.
• Card Access & Security Camera System experience.
• Ability to contribute to completion of commissioning and qualification requirements for direct impact systems with supervision.
• Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System to track, document, and prioritize work
• Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
