Foreign Trade / Logistics Specialist

Role Summary:
Under general supervision, working with both internal and external parties performs a variety of duties ensuring that product is being shipped internationally (export and Import) in a cost efficient, timely and compliant manner. Handles special projects, as assigned such as freight bill auditing and processing - payment.
Essential Responsibilities:
•Handle the importation process with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
•Keep the ETA dates updated in the system
•Ability to work under pressure.
•Coordinate International Logistics - from supplier dock until GE. Including the broker services for
each importation.
•Develop new indicators of Logistics performance
•Look for Freight solutions to guarantee the best lead time and cost
•Handle physical inventory – small boxes
•Develop local logistics and suppliers
•Strong interface with Planning, Project Management and Operations.
Qualifications/Requirements:
•Bachelor's degree in Business / International Trade from an accredited university or college
•Knowledge on International Trade system
•At least 5 years of experience in International Logistics.
Desired Characteristics:
•Knowledge on SAP
• International Logistics experience in O&G industry.
•High energy level
•Sense of urgency in dealing with issues and tasks.
