Ferring+You You will be our expert for accounting & BPO transactions, and will contribute to the operational finance activities, concentrated around P2P, O2C and A2R processes and act as a first point of contact for the BPO for finance related matters. Also, you´ll conduct certain operational activities, especially knowledge based and provide review and approvals to the BPO and ensure finance processes are conducted smoothly and with high quality, in compliance with existing fiscal and civil regulations, as well as with specific company policies and accounting principles
Your day at Ferring You´ll be overseeing, supervising and working in close collaboration with the BPO, ensuring their deliverables are met for the processes below:
P2P and Vendor Master Data - Process invoices and payments
- Manage discrepancies
- Handle vendor queries
- Create and update supplier master data
- Process month end and reporting
Manage expenses: - Handle expense claims
- Perform quality check
- Process expenses reimbursement and manage queries
Order to Cash: - Forecast collections
- Automatize and analyze metrics
- Perform action plans to reduce DSO and Past Due, improving working capital
- Perform cash application and aging
- Collect cash
- Create and update customer master data
- Process month end and reporting
- Process and manage intercompany transactions
Accounting: - Reconcile financial discrepancies
- Maintain general ledger, including defining journal entries, accounts analysis and reconciliation and closing books monthly. Accounting for Fixed Assets and Payroll accounting
- Prepare reports on Accounting Payables, Bank Reconciliations and Fixed Assets Statement
- Ensure accurate accounting records for company receipts and/or disbursements.
- Manage allocations, and performs analytical review
- Process current period transactions
- Generate and process Journal Entries
- Close and open, reconcile Sub-ledgers
- Generate financial reports
- Maintain G/L master data
- Intercompany reconciliations
Treasury Management: - Manage foreign payments in a complex, highly regulated environment.
- Subject Matter Expert in current Central Bank rules.
- Manage relationship with banks.
- Effectively manage company cash
Financial reporting.External – Internal Audits - Perform statutory reporting by ensuring accounting records and reports are accurate, duly approved and comply with the Statutory Accounting Principles.
- Perform hyperinflation adjustments as per local GAAP.
- Support and assistance to internal or external auditors.
- Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
- Comply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
- Maintain financial security by following internal controls (ICS)
- Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents
Financial budgeting and planning: - Provide advice, support and assist to other staff to enable their input to the preparation of budgets and plans.
- Identifies and carries out investigations of variances against budgets/standards. Produces routine reports, schedules, and summaries for management.
Projects and improvements: - Support HQ/Corporate Finance in the implementation of corporate Finance programs, processes or procedures which are to be locally applied.
- Contribute to performance management and drive continuous improvement initiatives e.g. propose standardized and co-ordinated use of financial information systems, identify and propose optimization measures. Drives automation.
- Coupa Power User, driving efficiencies and influencing business. Understanding of processes, policies and systems.
Compliance and integrity: - Strict implementation and adherence to internal guidelines, instructions, processes, and systems, local as well as global
- Strict adherence to the local fiscal and finance related regulations of the respective country
- Risk management: Inform relevant parties timely on potential issues, assess the risks and propose corrective measures
Collaboration: - Collaborate with SDM's to ensure smooth service delivery
- Collaborate with GPO to work on continuous process improvements
- Collaborate with BPO to ensure a smooth relationship and a seamless delivery of the in-scope finance activities
Behind our innovation…There's you - University degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
- 5 years' experience in Finance & Accounting
- Demonstrated understanding of the financial and accounting principles and processes. Preferred experience in Big 4
- A 'strong' team player
- An analytical mindset and be a self-starter, being able to see opportunities and solve problems independently
- Ability to work in decentralized finance structure
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Professional business English (oral and written)
