As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate & Investment Banking Controls Tech Team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
The CIB Controls technology team is responsible for working with the front office, Business control officers and Controls Program Management teams within the Corporate and Investment Bank. The role will involve close partnership with other functional support groups like Operations, Product Control, Risk, Audit, Compliance, and various other Technology teams, you will be expected to work on several projects but with a key focus on:

Job responsibilities Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsCreates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systemsContributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologiesWorking on test driven development, test automation, using mocking framework like Mockito Participating in all stages of the application development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing and production support Coming up with new and innovative ways to solve complex technical problems and improve continuously Participating in agile / scrum ceremonies – Daily stand-up, planning and demos, understanding feedback and applying to future endeavors Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experienceJava/J2EE development and design, with emphasis in JavaScript (React) and Servlets Knowledge of Spring/Hibernate framework, MVC design methodologies. Database development and data model design. A deep understanding of test automation, creating and running unit tests and functional tests Familiarity with automated testing frameworksKnowledge of XML, Web Services, Service Orientated Architecture (SOA) SQL performance tuning, web application performance analysis and tuning, analyzing performance metrics Knowledge of Defensive Programming e.g. prevention of cross-script attack, sql injection etc.Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Fluent in EnglishAvailability to work from 8AM to 5PM Arg time
