Essential Responsibilities:
Under direct supervision, assists with developing and communicating various accounting policies and procedures to be performed by world wide finance staffs. May perform various compliance reviews worldwide. Monitors compliance to accounting policies and procedures. Develops accurate and complete audit work papers that adequately support finding sand documents work performed. Summarizes findings and recommendations and discusses them with process owners. Performs periodic reviews of Control Self Assessment Questionnaire with operational and headquarters finance staffs worldwide. Works on alleviation of non-compliance areas. Performs internal control testing and documentation in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley. Performs post audit review of management letter to identify issues for sharing with other locations. Performs follow up on audit letter commitments to ensure they are done in the timeline presented. Collects the responses on the representation letter and identifies problem issues for review. Ensures that accounting practices meet appropriate statutory and SEC accounting convention requirements, through participation with the BHI Tax and Accounting Department. Provides general support to both the planning and reporting functions. Handles investigation and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance. Entry level. CPA preferred. Strong PC skills, including Word and Excel. Oilfield industry experience a plus. Audit and SAP/Hyperion experience a plus.
