Job Overview Supervise and direct the proper flow of all vehicles from acceptance at the factory line until delivery to carriers or export point. Ensure that all MBUSA policies, procedures and standards are adhered to.
Responsibilities
• Help maintain security of all units and equipment.
• Make sure all employees are fully informed in all matters concerning this operation.
• Supervise and direct all inspections on line and oversee shipping operations.
• Direct and monitor all MBUSA and 3rd party operations in the Marshaling Yard.
• Use all computer systems required for this operation.
• Ensure that all units meet the quality standards of MBUSA.
• Must be flexible and able to adjust to the ever-changing atmosphere of a continuous improvement operation.
• Monitor, inventory, and order supplies.
• Assist Administrative Assistant in compiling, creating and updating all ISO documentation.
• Must be able to work independently and use decision-making skills to run VMY operation in absence of manager.
• Help organize factory retro activities, yard sorts, and quality holds to meet our monthly objectives.
• Back up Expeditor during their absence and when needed.
Qualifications
Qualifications Education High School Diploma (GED) or equivalent work experience High School Diploma (GED)
Skills Needed • Must have years (total) of experience in the following:
o Parts and Accessories --> Knowledge of parts and accessories businesses, marketing strategies and other business practices.
o Processing --> Knowledge of processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques in order to achieve maximum efficiency.
o Quality Assurance --> Knowledge of accounting standards, statistical analysis, precision measurement, and process capability.
• Federal, state and local environmental rules and regulations
o Ability to react to changes in a timely manner
o Ability to contact and work with outside parties
o Computer skills and proficiency in use of word processing, spreadsheet and e-mail software
o AAR Rules and Regulations
