He / she is responsible for actively driving and managing the technology proposition and evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for the Infinera product portfolio.The Systems Engineer I will learn how to articulate technology and product positioning to both business commercial and technical customers, he will be able to design, offer and position products / solution / networks in all technical aspects.The candidate will mainly be working as a Sales System Engineer supporting our Advanced System Engineering team. The role is office-based and requires full technical sales support throughout multiple disciplines.You will help prepare and deliver technical presentations to customers which may include the preparation and execution of Demos / POC / RFP / RFI.The candidate will be working closely to our field Senior System Engineers to support our operations over all Latin America.In working with the Senior SE's,the engineer will experience what it takes to provide world-class pre-sales and post-sales support to one of the top Telecommunication optical vendors in the industry.Create and validate bill of material for optical network proposals throughout service providers in the region. Full in-depth support to customer RFPs (Requests for Proposal) and create both high-level design engineering documentation packages as well as present at request to the customers.Sales Engineer will also have access to learn from Network architects and have first hand experience with cutting edge Optical technologies in Long-haul, Metro and Subsea communications.Key responsibilities and accountabilities :Helping Senior System Engineers to interpret customer requirements - speaking with customers to understand, anticipate and meet their needs.Help prepare documentation for technical proposal and analyze RFI / RFP requirements.Articulating to customers that a product or design solution best satisfies their requirements in terms of reliability, scalability, price and deliveryCo-ordinate and drive all first of type applications and Lab Trials with customer, managing technical demonstrations and lab trialsSupporting marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing eventsAble to respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs / RFPsAble to convey customer feature requirements to corporate Product Line Management teamsAble to frequently travel throughout the sales regionDevelop and grow long-term relationships with customers and influence customer requirementsPlan, design and document network solutionsProducing customer orderable quotationsProvide after-sales support, such as extension design,technical project documentationLiaising with other members of the sales team and other technical expertsProviding training and producing support material for other members of the sales teamSpecific Job Skills :Bilingual (English and Spanish / Portuguese)Ambitious to develop skills in network planning and designInterest in pursuing technology certifications in Optical Transmission technologiesPresentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiencesPossess a strong ability to move concepts through the design cycle including solution development and engineering documentationAn articulate communicator, with excellent writing and social skillsAn analytical person to provide appropriate solutions to whichever tasks are presented.Strong willingness to work in a team environment.Qualifications and Experience :- Bilingual (English / Spanish)- Preference for individuals with BS / MS degrees in Engineering subjects, however candidates with demonstrable technical depth will also be considered.
