Taxation Manager - Temporary Position

We need an 8 months position starting in July 2018 that will report to the regional taxation VP located in Canada and will act as the liaison with local tax compliance providers and internal Amex personnel in Argentina. General tax support to other Latin American countries will also be required.
The position will also support the VP and the business with any tax planning work in Argentina and in the Latin American region, as required. Very challenging position with high exposure to critical matters impacting the affiliate; interactions with several groups across the organization in Argentina and also interaction with other markets (Brazil, Colombia and Chile).
Also, the position will be responsible for the income tax accounting in Argentina, which implies interaction with the tax accounting group in NY.

Qualifications

Candidate with general tax and accounting knowledge, able to fluently interact in English.
Ability to coordinate outsourced work, handle multiple tasks and prioritize to meet key deadlines.
Ability to communicate tax matters effectively to colleagues, management and other individuals within the American Express group.
