What you will doAs a Senior Data Scientist on the AI team at Karat, you will drive innovation by extracting key insights from our data, and providing actionable recommendations for innovative products that can be built into the Karat platform as we scale.Collaborating with a small team of Engineers, you will innovate on top of the Company's internal and external data, leverage cutting-edge AI technology like LLMs, carry complex analysis, build proofs-of-concept and prototypes, create insight, and build models and products that serve a variety of key end-users in the Interviewing Cloud space.- Lead projects in close partnership with engineering teams to increase the signal captured during technical interviews,maximizing the product value provided to clients.- Work hands-on in coding, data preprocessing, feature engineering, model development, and exploratory data analysis.- Lead projects and mentor teammates working in the Data Science and AI realms across all teams and products.- Partner with business stakeholders to understand the Company's business challenges, develop hypotheses, and propose data-driven solutions to those challenges.- Present complex findings and insights to non-technical audiences, influencing decision-makers across the organization.- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI, and proactively identify opportunities to apply emerging technologies to Karat's business needs.- Lead the dialogue within Karat about AI, Data Science and Machine Learning.The experience you will bring- 5+ years of tech industry experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, AI, or other related roles- Strong expertise in programming languages such as Python, and proficiency in using relevant data science libraries and frameworks- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), data engineering pipeline and tools such as dbt, airflow, and model deployment process- Proven track record leading Data Science, Machine Learning or AI projects that have delivered significant business impact- Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business challenges into data-driven solutions- Deep understanding of statistical analysis, data manipulation, and data visualization techniques- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences- Strong fluency in written and spoken EnglishLegal Employment StatementKarat is a U.S. company.
