Backend EngineerIn All MediaAbout the Client :Global technology and engineering company dedicated to delivering innovative solutions to our customers in the Life Sciences industry.As part of our commitment to excellence, we are seeking a talented Backend Engineer to support our software development capabilities and lead the replacement of our current ActivePDF solution with a customized, cost-effective alternative.This is an exciting opportunity to significantly impact the client and its customers by delivering cutting-edge software solutions.We are looking for a highly skilled Backend Engineer to join our Life Sciences group and play a key role in developing a customized,royalty-free alternative to our current ActivePDF solution.The successful candidate will have extensive experience in backend development, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.As a Backend Engineer, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement scalable and efficient backend solutions.Key Responsibilities :- Design, develop, and implement scalable and efficient backend solutions to replace our current ActivePDF solution.- Collaborate with front-end developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and define technical specifications.- Develop RESTful APIs and backend services using C#, .NET Framework, .Net Core, and Azure technologies.- Implement best practices for code quality, performance, scalability, and security.- Conduct code reviews, identify areas for improvement and mentor junior developers.- Work closely with DevOps engineers to implement CI / CD pipelines and automate deployment processes.- Monitor backend systems, troubleshoot issues,and implement solutions to ensure system reliability and availability.- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to make informed decisions about technology selection and implementation.Requirements :- Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.- Proven ability to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.- Demonstrated experience developing software in an organization using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).- Familiarity with coding best practices, design patterns, and software development lifecycle methodologies.- Proficiency in Windows, C#, .NET Framework 4.1 and above (ASP.Net, MVC, MVVM), .Net Core 3.0 and above, Azure (CI / CD), SQL, and GIT.- 7+ years of experience in backend development.- Nice to have : Familiarity with Windows Log (nLogger), knowledge of self-signed certificates,and experience with Active PDF.Benefits : 100% remote work.100% remote work.Payments made from the US.International teams.Exciting projects; all our clients are top-notch US-based companies.Hourly rates in US dollars.Full-time and long-term projects.Contract as a vendor.
