About the Team: The Portfolio team is a cross-functional strategic arm of the business that serves to define, implement and manage CookUnity's best in class product offering and product strategy. Our mission is to provide our Eaters with a culinary destination for exploration and discovery, improving menu liquidity and retention in all markets.
The role: As a Category Specialist at CookUnity, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our SKU Expansion strategies by optimizing the performance of all new product lines. Your primary focus will be on managing categories, including but not limited, to Premium Lines, Breakfast, Sides, Treats, and Limited Time Offerings (LTOs). You will play a crucial role by monitoring business performance, optimizing the assortment, and implementing strategies to drive the success of our product lines.
Responsibilities: Assortment Management: Monitor the business performance of all product lines, ensuring optimal SKU assortment to meet customer preferences and market trends. Conduct ongoing analysis to evaluate meal level performance to recommend assortment optimizations to satisfy customer satisfaction and revenue generation. Product Line Profitability & Strategic Planning: Optimize revenue, margins, and AOV contribution from product lines. Develop and execute business strategies to improve the overall performance of product lines, including pricing strategies, promotions, and exclusives. Market Trends & Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and customer insights to identify innovation and new product development opportunities within the relevant categories. Performance Analysis: Drive menu experiments related to product assortment and price optimization. Analyze test results and post-launch reviews to assess the success of new products or initiatives, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data, Chef Success, Culinary Operations, Supply Chain, Menu Planning, and Marketing to ensure alignment with overall business objectives. About You: 3-5+ years of experience in CPG or DTC category management, product development, product innovation or related field in the food industry. Experience working for a subscription business is a strong plus. Ability to use data analytics and key performance indicators to make informed decisions and drive business growth. Proficient in SQL with strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data. Proven ability to analyze key drives of revenue growth such as LTV, order rate and cohort behavior. Ability to create ad hoc reporting/ analysis. Experience managing revenue, margins, AOV contribution, and price testing. Strategic thinking with a focus on results and continuous improvement Proven experience aligning cross-functional team members to complete projects within time constraints Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills is required Preferred Requirements: Bonus if candidate has worked in subscription businesses Preferred Experience and passion for food industry Benefits Get paid in USD, Crypto, Euro, ARS.
