Job Description J.P. Morgan's Wholesale Banking business (Corporate & Investment Bank and Commercial Bank) is a global leader across banking, markets and investor services. Wholesale Credit Risk assesses, permissions, and manages credit and counterparty risks on an industry, client, geographic, and transaction basis. Credit Risk is independent within Corporate Risk Management, reporting to the firm's Chief Risk Officer (CRO). Our practices are designed to preserve the independence and integrity of decision making. The teams are generally organized by industry and work closely with coverage and product groups to support business needs. The Analyst will utilize their superior analytical skills, combined with credit and industry knowledge, to make and support credit decisions for a portfolio of clients. They collaborate across credit risk and the business teams to meet client credit requests, while balancing the risk-return needs of the Firm. They constantly monitor their portfolio to accurately assign risk ratings to clients and facilities, while ensuring a robust culture of compliance is adhered to at all times.
Job Responsibilities: Conductcredit analysis and help a deal team seek approval for lending and trading related transactions, including operating exposures, individually or as part of a deal team Createwritten credit approval documents, which include the spreading and presentation of historical financial statement information and the related financial analysis, as well as projections of future cash flows for large corporate borrowers Develop a well-informed and forward-looking view of the business, financial and risks associated with a company and sector Manageand monitora portfolio of client credit exposures, across industry classes, on an ongoing basis Participatein negotiating, finalizing, and executing documentation for loans and derivatives Reviewand assignrisk ratings and maintains updated credit research on their portfolio of clients Workwith Investment Banking Coverage, Commercial Banking Coverage and Global Corporate Banking on allocation of capital for clients; maintainthreshold and industry limits Required qualifications, capabilities& skills: Economics Degree or equivalent with strong interest in Finance /Advancedstudent in any Economics Degree Outstanding verbal and written communication, along with strong inter-personal skills Advanced English Level Preferred qualifications, capabilities& skills: Academic training in the principals of accounting, corporate finance, capital markets products, and macro economics Ability to work well in a team environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word If you join the company, you will be part of a diverse and inclusive team that supports each other and will empower you todo your bestwork.
