As a Data Engineer you will drive the value maximization of a data product along the entire product lifecycle with a motivated and agile team of Data Analysts, Data Scientists and Data Product Owners.
You will be responsible for: Creating data pipelines that prepare and aggregate (raw) data from various sources and make it available, for example, in a data warehouse, a data lake, a data product or an applicationDesigning, planning and implementing automated and scalable data pipelines in suitable cloud and on-premise-environmentsPreparing (raw) data for use in business intelligence applications and data science projectsConnecting new data sources and interfacesBuilding data transformation logics, code development and testing in close collaboration with subject matter experts and data scientists We are striving to build a team of a diverse skill set. Qualifications
Ideally, you bring the following skills and experience: A bachelor's or master's degree in statistics, mathematics, (business) computer science or a related field of study, or a comparable qualification (e.g., training in computer science)Good knowledge of relevant programming languages (e.g. Python, Scala or R)Good knowledge of database structures and data modeling, as well as metadata management and enterprise data managementGood knowledge in data warehousing design in the realization of data warehouses/datalakes/datalakehouses and ETL/ELT process development Basic knowledge of software engineering techniques such as continuous integration and continuous delivery, testing, source code management, release management is an advantageBasic knowledge of machine learning and Big Data technologies such as Apache Spark as well as cloud computing is an advantage Additional information: It is a permanent position.
