Description :Purpose of RoleThe SLAC IBP lead is accountable for leading and driving a collaborative and efficient monthly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process. This role is also responsible for embedding a weekly and monthly S&OP meeting to align a consensus plan with Sales, Marketing and Finance.This specific role of the SLAC IBP leadis accountable for leading, coaching, and developing a team of Demand PlannerLead in SLAC market the successful delivery of:Accurate and timely base-line forecasts, leading the S&OP/IBP process accordingly.Implementing and embedding Global S&OP Operating model in SLAC and best practices.This role must understand end-to-end financial implications of demand plans resulting in service to Diageo Customers and inventory performance. Role should understand importance and impact of innovation on NSV, Working Capital, Profit, and customer relationships.Dimensions: Functions:End-to-end S&OP CycleDemand Planning (including Innovation Planning)Innovation and Brand Change CoordinationDemand Planning Business Partnering with MarketsRegional communication with SLAC EXEC teams (Demand outlooks)Partnering with regional teams such as FP&A, Innovation.KPIs:Sales Forecast Accuracy - MonthlySales Forecast BiasForecast Value Add by stepMaster Data IntegrityCash (Inventory) related to forecastingCase Fill Rate related to forecasting.Direct Reports:2 Demand PlannersTop Accountabilities Drive the Demand Planning and S&OP cycleLead the generation, alignment, consensus and sign-off of monthly rolling forecasts for all countries.Ensure the S&OP process is aligned to IBP principles.Embed and facilitate monthly alignment meetings through local Demand Planning Business Partners, with cross-functional partners (Marketing, Supply, Finance and Commercial teams), in order to achieve best in class demand plan accuracy.Lead the sign-off of monthly forecasts with market leadership teams, including GM.Attend Demand Reviews in markets.Ensure systems and processes in place are aligned to global demand planning standards.Communicate critical forecast changes and supply constraints to partners in the Supply Chain, Sales and Finance teams.Nurture demand and supply integration and continuously drive alignment to one planLead the Demand Planning processLead and develop the Demand Planning cycle with the Demand Planning Manager.Ensure the generation of baseline forecasts for all country SKU's, ensuring a focus on core SKU's, using the correct demand signals (Sell Out / Sell In), lead times, safety stocks, etc., and applying prioritisation criteria to maximise the efficiency of the Demand Planners.Lead the forecasting of Innovation and Brand Change SKU's, ensuring that new product introduction algorithms are used for profiling demand, and provide statistical inputs to markets for Innovation plans.Make sure all forecasts are aligned in APO and being used correctly by the markets.Liaise with in-country Demand Planning Business Partners to ensure meaningful information and data is inputted to the S&OP process.Collaborate with in-country Demand Planning Business Partners to achieve demand and supply integration, aligning into one plan.Communicate ongoing forecast changes to stakeholders in the Supply Chain, Sales and Finance teams.Develop and execute Demand Planning and S&OP initiatives supporting Supply Chain strategy Understand, implement, and sustain global demand planning codification agenda.Achieve best in class performance in sales forecast accuracy (SFA) and Bias.Support the delivery of the market strategy through delivery of broader initiatives and projects.Embed process improvements across the wider Demand Planning TeamLead a high-performance IBP Planning and Demand Planning TeamProvide clear direction and prioritisation of workload across the team. Achieve best in class engagement scores through value survey process.Coach, mentor and develop Demand Planning team.Qualifications and Experience Required Skills and CapabilitiesExceptional knowledge, management, and coordination of S&OP processExceptional influencing and stakeholder management skills. Ability to challenge senior stakeholders and manage tension in S&OP conversations.Exceptional communication skills – verbal, written and presentation.Detailed understanding of end to end supply chain operational processes within Diageo e.g. IBP, S&OP, DRP, MPS, inventory, conversion, logistics and customer service.Numerate with statistical, and analytical skills and attention to detail.Proficient in MS applications e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, OutlookKnowledge of Advanced Planning and Analytics software: SAP APO, Oracle Demantra, SAS, Power BI, Tableau, etc.Experience+8 years in Supply Chain planning experience in CPG (Demand Planning, Supply Planning, SMR, Logistics), including significant experience managing S&OP process.Wider cross-functional experience preferable e.g. Commercial, Finance or Supply.Significant line management experience required.Experience with advanced planning software with Demand Planning (SAP APO would be an advantage).High degree of quantitative and analytical skills.QualificationsDegree or equivalent in appropriate supply chain, mathematical, engineering, or business degree.APICS CPIM / CSCP or equivalent desirable.Barriers to Success in RoleInability to manage conflict and mediate in divergent priority situationsPoor stakeholder engagement skillsInability to coordinate, link and prioritise Demand Planning and S&OP activitiesLack of credibility with among leadership and country stakeholders (GM's, Supply Chain Directors and Leadership Teams).Worker Type :RegularPrimary Location:Buenos AiresAdditional Locations :Lima, Montevideo, SantiagoJob Posting Start Date : 2024-03-06
