Description
Objective of position
Overall responsibility for coordinating, testing and validation of the OTA (over-the-air) test campaign to roll out Software updates or updates on customer vehicles for the Japanese market; definition of the required test scopes of the individual OTA releases, test management and execution, documentation of results.
TASKS:
Management of OTA test campaign:
Contribution to the creation of OTA releases according to predefined periodization Creation of required test plans/test strategy in own responsibility, considering the available test resources and budget restraints. If needed, alignment of test scope with experts who are responsible for the release. Pre-analysis of issues/defects and alignment of further measures with the EE system responsible, function owners, and expert departments. Contribution to the definition and continuous optimization of the core process and the required test infrastructure Identification of required updates, planning and scheduling of OTA update campaigns. OTA test execution:
Execution of OTA updates according to the schedule. Steering of and participation in testing (including outsourcing, if applicable) Professional documentation and presentation of test results Judgement of test results and formulation of a release recommendation. Troubleshooting after the OTA update process and identification of solutions in close exchange with experts in HQ. Provision of release recommendation to management in HQ Vehicle EE update:
Supporting EE release updates for RDJ test vehicles Establishing the target vehicle configuration required (updating of SW and HW according to release configuration) *We apologize that "Near-site Childcare", " Parking" are not available.

*As a general rule, this is a local contract position Qualifications
TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
Academic degree in electrical, automotive or mechanical engineering or equivalent education
Japanese conversational level
English business level required
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
Professional expert in vehicle communications and automotive systems. Considerable knowledge in using flashing and diagnostic tools (Monaco, CANoe, …). Understanding of automotive backend infrastructure Strong knowledge of diagnostic tools such as Vector, DTS Monaco SOFT SKILLS
Distinct project management skills and good interpersonal and intercultural skills Ability to work with limited supervision and guidance Pro-active attitude and good problem solving skills. Organised mind Pro-active attitude and good problem solving skills Ability to develop solutions in a non-standardized development environment Skills and experience to manage complex projects, Project Management Certification a plus Working experience with Western (preferrably German) companies and good knowledge of Western working culture – already existing network within the company or R&D would be an advantage High enthusiasm for automotive industry and tech industry WORK EXPERIENCE
3 years working experience in Automotive industry or related technical field
At least 2 years experience testing software systems and components
Solid experience (>3 years) in working in an intercultural environment
