As a QA Engineer you will work closely with Sovos customers and team members to ensure products and services work in a fully integrated manner as expected by the customer. A QA Engineer understands basic QA concepts and Sovos SDLC. Key Position Responsibilities · Execute automated test cases, understand its purpose and its outcomes. · Create and maintain basic automated tests cases and monitor the team's automated tests outputs. · Observe leaders in day to day activities and apply learnings. · Understand Sovos Org Structure & roles and responsibilities. · Understand departments and how they impact Product Development (Compliance, PS, Support, Ops) · Align with Sovos Global QA practices and understand the high-level workflow of products. · Ensure relevant sprint information is communicated to scrum team members · Respect team members and their individual perspectives and earn trust of team members. · Keep team members informed regarding activities Status and blockers · Understand development lifecycle including branching/merging technique utilized by the team · Testing Concepts including Black Box Testing, Unit Tests, Integration Tests, Automated Tests, and Regression Tests. · Processes and responsibilities for delivering code to Production. · Create test scenarios and execute test suite. Minimum Position Qualifications · Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or Physics majors, graduation from Technical School, or equivalent work experience required · 0-2 years' experience · Ability to perform in a team · Understand tools critical to software development · Efficient use of SDLC tools · Basic knowledge on relational databases · Detailed oriented and organized person · Complies with company policies/decisions · Open minded and adjusts to work within QA good practices and procedures · Proactive Attitude
