As a Software Engineering Manager, you will take a hands-on role to design technical approaches, contribute as an individual, and help build our team(s). We expect every member of the team, including you, to be regularly reading and writing code. You should like to code, profile, tinker, refactor, and engineer, not just manage people. Because our Engineering Managers are expected to be at least 50% hands on, our interview process includes coding challenges. You should still be close to the code and your technical skills, enough that you feel comfortable problem solving directly alongside engineers on your team and mentoring junior engineers. We are building a comprehensive product information management (PIM) system to support complex product data set, a wide range of sales channels, heterogenous infrastructure, a hub for ecosystem workflow, enabling analytics for cross-selling, SEO, CROs, etc. This system consolidates all product information onto a single platform to connect retailing and manufacturing channels to counter complex challenges in managing and maintaining product data quality. Reliable security governance for partner integration is required to support the automation of the procurement process for purchasing goods and services. These create transparency for the product data of multiple vendors to support the centralized management of multi-supplier catalogs and facilitate price and quality research What you get to do every day:Being technical owner for your area or service within our retail service cloudIdentifying and resolving technical challenges, building new features, building and implementing the roadmap/strategy, scaling the platformBeing point of contact, communicating technical details, pushing back requests if neededBuilding a team of developers, driving productivityReplacing legacy code and services and optimizing the stackBuilding frameworks for upcoming projectsTriaging tickets for the sprint.
