Job Description Be part of a highly motivated team of Procurement, Localisation & Component Exports Specialists. To support Procurement Hub initiatives aswell as to ensure best Production Material cost position for the East London Plant and Component Exports. This requires an outgoing, confident individual with excellent communication and negotiation skills. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, self-starter, who has a passion for Excellence and values, integrity and respect. Responsible for commercial aspects in the Procurement & Localisation field in compliance to the Company's Integrity & Anti Bribery Codes, Conflict of Interest Policy & S.H.E.Q requirements and to perform delegated S.H.E.Q tasks and duties & to inform superior about deviations.
The Job Requirements Knowledge and application of the People Principles Advanced Business Communication Skills Negotiation Skills Knowledge of the South African Supplier landscape and Legislations that the Automotive Industry operates under Computer Literacy, Excel Advanced PowerPoint Knowledge of New Procurement Systems (NPS) Willingness to work a 3 shift model Responsible for the Procurement of cost-effective Production and Export Material. Participation in the formulation of commodity specific strategies. Conduct Vendor price negotiations in accordance with procurement, localization and export targets. Responsible for cost optimization and transparency throughout Supply Chain. Initiate and facilitate Supplier development by employing new technologies and processes. Interact and support cross-functional processes for the introduction of parts, processes and projects in alignment with the Lead Buyer. Responsible for the price maintenance of the part throughout its life cycle. Conduct feasibility/viability studies and presentation in the relevant steering committees Investigate potential localisation and increase of local content in allocated commodities. Qualifications A relevant minimum NQF 7 – BCom or relevant Equivalent Knowledge and Experience Minimum 3 years post qualification experience in Procurement/Localisation or Negotiation/ Costing or At least 6 months participation on our MBSA Graduate Development Programme.
