Staff4Half is searching for a seasoned and motivated Tax Manager to lead the tax department for a prominent client in the Accounting Industry. This new role offers the opportunity to oversee all aspects of tax for the client from compliance and planning to accounting and team leadership.
Responsibilities Manage all tax compliance planning and accounting functions for the client. Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize efficiency. Prepare and meticulously review corporate tax returns. Manage tax provisions and ensure financial statements comply with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Stay abreast of tax law changes and communicate their impact to relevant parties. Conduct thorough tax research and analysis to support informed decisionmaking. Utilize accounting and tax software to streamline processes while maintaining accuracy. Provide tax guidance to internal teams on financial reporting and planning initiatives. Supervise and mentor a multinational team of tax professionals. Lead and coordinate tax audits and inquiries collaborating with external auditors and authorities. Work effectively with other departments to ensure alignment on tax strategies. Demonstrate strong leadership qualities motivating and inspiring your team to achieve goals. Qualifications Minimum 8 years of experience in a CPA firm with a strong background in tax preparation (Income Sales Payroll). Proven experience supervising and mentoring a team of 35 tax professionals. Proficiency in various accounting and tax software platforms. Excellent communication skills in written and oral English and Spanish. Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting (CPA preferred). Willingness to work extra hours during peak tax seasons.
