Accounting Team Lead (Sr. Manager) U.S. Accounting Firm (Remote)

Bullpen Talent matches the most talented contractors with top US companies and brands.Our client is an accounting and CFO services firm located in the U.S. that is looking for an experienced Accounting Team Lead. This is a small but growing firm and the ideal candidate will have worked as a manager at another U.S. accounting services firm and with a diverse range of client types. It is expected that the candidate would be handling some client work, but mainly managing 5+ staff accountants and assisting with month-end on each of the staff accountants clients.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to work with a terrific and highly experienced executive founder at a growing firm.This is a fully remote position and expected to work 40 hours per week ideally on a USA time zone, but overlap of at least half the day is possible. We are looking for someone who possesses great attention to detail, is highly organized and can manage detailed processes. In addition, they must have strong accounting experience, business acumen, financial analysis skills and great English communication skills (both writing and speaking). The Requirements- CPA required- Must have 5+ years' experience as an accountant, plus several years managing a team- Must be coming from another U.S. public accounting firm; not a corporate role.- Big 4 experience not required, but a plus if earlier in their career- Working with smaller businesses/clients is preferred- Experience across a variety of small business accounting packages (QBO, Xero, etc.)- Experience across a variety of payroll software packages (ADP, Gusto, etc.)- Understand the unit economics of a team of junior staff accountants (e.g. a staff accountant can do 200 transactions/month, payroll, month-end accruals, and support ~7-10 clients each).- Excellent English communication skills- Can work USA Pacific Standard Time hours with at least half day overlap.The Benefits- Highly competitive pay- Fully remote, work from home- Paid holidays and paid time off (vacation days)- Stipend for private health insurance card- Training opportunitiesPowered by JazzHR
