Requisition ID: 26628 Argentina Directs, Capital & MRO Manager We are looking for a professional with a degree in Business, Finance or Engineering who resides in Mar del Plata or Buenos Aires to join the Procurement Argentina team. This role is responsible for leading the processes for the purchase of Ingredients, Packaging, Co-packing, Co-manufacturing, Capital & MRO spend for the McCain Foods company in Argentina. The role leads a team of 6 senior buyers to develop long term purchasing strategies and gain commitment from key stakeholders particularly in Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing & Engineering and Argentina business leadership. Conducts key sourcing activities including contract negotiations, commodities alignment with global team, risk management sourcing, cost optimization initiatives. Leads supplier relationship development including monitoring performance versus expectations. Will also be required to recommend, align and implement business allocations. Bring leadership on market knowledge, influencing business needs and commercial results to the company. Must have in-depth knowledge of: Ingredients (vegetable oil, dairy, batters, IQF vegetables) Packaging (corrugated and flexible packaging) Relevant commercial markets, procurement analytics Commodity knowledge mainly in Sunflower Oil , Wheat , Cheese markets Capital & MRO Managing risks in volatile macroeconomic environments Communications and Interactions: The person will manage multiple internal and external organizational relationships.They will lead the overall supplier relationship strategy for spend area, ensuring proper commercial treatment of suppliers by reinforcing policy, ethics and our strategic approach with suppliers and with other company departments. Develop the Organization. Build procurement capability in their spend pool and ensure compliance with all internal control guidelines. Drive the management reward system, performance appraisals and career discussions for their team. Accountabilities: Drive cost focused strategy for responsible categories Lead the sourcing strategy to deliver going cost savings targets Delivery Sustainable Cost Advantage (SCA) results and on-going savings program Build supplier relationship program for the relative markets to deliver significant value for McCain Ensure company purchases in the spend pool comply with company internal controls requirements Build organization capability through procurement core skills coaching and training Drive individual accountability for performance deliverables in the procurement team Work in collaboration with global & LATAM teams in areas of responsibility Prepare budget forecasting Qualifications: Must have Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business, Finance or Engineering Must have a minimum of 10 years procurement experience, preferably in ingredients, packaging, capital & MRO Competencies: Linking business needs to leverage scale Sourcing strategy development Strong supplier management skills Negotiating / Influencing skills Client relationship management Financial analysis skills Industry analysis skills McCain Foods is an equal opportunity employer.
