We are looking for a Business Analyst to help with the running of projects to identify and specify improvements to existing business systems and processes throughout the business.
Main responsibilities of our Business Analyst will be:
- To liase with key users in the identification and development of improvements to business systems.
- Evaluate business requests and advise on suitability and implementation.
- Carry out full business analysis to include requirements and solution.
- Write product change specifications.
- Have a good knowledge of systems and technologies available.
- Manage the delivery of projects into the associated sectors.
- Gain a thorough understanding of the business activities and processes appropriate to the sections assigned.
- Carry out and manage testing of any solutions prior to implementation.
- Produce accurate and concise training documentation.
- To work within the guidelines and procedures provided.
Technical skills required to be successful:
- Self-motivating with a flexible approach, including a drive to actively seek work and provide solutions.
- An inquisitive and analytical mind, but well grounded in reality.
- A methodical and accurate worker, able to see tasks through until the end.
- The ability to express ideas clearly in speech, email and documentation.
- The confidence and maturity to deal effectively with colleagues in all parts and levels of the business.
Role specific knowledge and expertise required:
- Good understanding of IT systems and infrastructure is essential.
- Experience in process and requirements analysis is essential.
- Experience of Business Process Reengineering is desirable.
Qualifications required:
- Good A Levels/BTEC is essential.
- Qualified to HND/BSc level or above is preferred.
- Experience in a law firm, professional services firm or other service sector industry is desirable.
