We are working with a client who are currently seeking for a Business Development Consultant to join their team who has previous experience in a sales function and has some knowledge and connections across the the risk and compliance market within the banking and financial sector.
The role will work within a small team creating a portfolio of client relationships to help the company break into new markets.
You will join a team of expanding consultants who are a diverse and dedicated team of investigators, problem solvers and logical thinkers who all strive towards the company purpose.
Responsibilties of this role include:
- The role will have a strong focus on targeting Tier 2 Banks and Buy-Side, Insurance and Energy firms with the Managed Service and Technology Solutions.
- Sourcing potential new customers via a number of different channels (LinkedIn, social presence, networking events, blogs, commentary on relevant industry topics or interest areas).
- Make cold or warm calls to generate and nuture leads.
- Foster strong internal relationships and excellent teamworking environments with key teams such as provisioning, pre-sales and updates.
- Forecast accurately through a clear understanding of customer decision-making processes and having a clear understanding of budgetary sign-off timeframes and requirements.
- Providing consulting advice and guidance on the practical aspects of the Managed Services and their application into retail and wholesale banking with some of our most important stakeholders.
- Meeting targets that relate to both the volume and impact of your activity, and the pipeline of the business you're introducing.
Requirements of the chosen candidate:
- The successful candidate will be results driven, with strong business acumen and a high level of personal integrity.
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills are also essential.
Essential requirements:
- Minimum 4 years relevant experience.
- Strong sales ability and proven track record.
- Knowledge of the Risk and Compliance Market with Banking and Financial Services.
Desirable requirements:
- Existing market knowledge of KYC, remediation, on-boarding knowledge would be helpful.
- Language skills.
