S/he will build a culture of continuous improvement and will work closely with the business leaders and executive leadership team.
As a Mainframe Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing mainframe systems and infrastructure to support the organization's business objectives. You will lead architecture initiatives, provide technical guidance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of mainframe environments. This role requires a seasoned professional with deep expertise in mainframe technologies, strong architectural skills, and the ability to drive innovation and modernization efforts.
Mainframe Architecture Design: Design and architect mainframe systems, including hardware, software, and middleware components, to meet business requirements and technical specifications.Develop architectural blueprints, diagrams, and documentation to illustrate system designs, configurations, and integration points.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.Extensive experience (8+ years) in mainframe architecture, design, and implementation in a large enterprise environment.In-depth knowledge of mainframe technologies, including IBM z/OS, CICS, IMS, DB2, COBOL, JCL, and VSAM.Strong understanding of mainframe hardware architecture, storage systems, networking, and virtualization technologies.Proven track record of designing and implementing complex mainframe solutions that meet business requirements and performance objectives.Experience with mainframe performance tuning, capacity planning, and workload management techniques.Familiarity with mainframe security principles, encryption methods, and access controls.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Relevant certifications in mainframe technologies and architecture (e.g., IBM Certified Systems Expert - Mainframe) are a plus.Experience of Service Management & Architecture preferred.Advanced English level.
