The Team: S&P Global Sustainable1, the leading source of critical sustainability insights, is in search of an experienced sustainability professional to join our Corporate Engagement team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of innovation in corporate sustainability. The ideal candidates will play a key role in expanding corporate involvement in the S&P Global Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA). We are seeking individuals who are deeply passionate about sustainability, possess a thorough understanding of sustainability regulations and advancements on both a global scale and within the contexts of LATAM, Spain, and Portugal. Our department prioritizes project-based work and relies on our proprietary methodology and software to oversee the corporate engagement and participation process.
Responsibilities and Impact: Promotes CSA participation to current and target customers in LATAM, Spain, and Portugal.Maintains and develops a network of ESG contacts at CSA-invited companies to encourage their CSA participation, by engaging them proactively.Supports the company's use of the CSA portal to enable a smooth CSA process and ensure awareness of all available free tools and additional services.Acts as a liaison between companies and the CSA Research team to answer methodology and assessment-related questions.Assists with the organization of and participation in internal and external workshops, webcasts, and management meetings with companies independently.Identifies opportunities in LATAM, Spain, and Portugal to promote Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) to increase participation.Utilizes CRM to monitor pipeline and engagement status.Focuses on engaging more complex clients and at a more senior level, identifying the key decision-makers and developing a company-specific engagement approach.Compensation/Benefits Information: Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits. What We're Looking For: Basic Required Qualifications: Completion of a university degreeAccumulation of 4+ years of work experience in ESG ratings or research, corporate sustainability, or sustainability investing is preferredPossession of industry or sustainability-topic-specific experience or expertiseDemonstrating strong project management and organizational skillsProficiency in understanding global sustainability reporting frameworks and trendsFamiliarity with financial markets and investment productsDisplaying strong analytical skills with acute attention to detailProficiency in the use of MS Excel and other IT toolsMastery of excellent written and spoken EnglishFluency in spoken and written Spanish is required, Portuguese is a plusAdditional Preferred Qualifications: Displays a strong interest in corporate sustainabilityExhibits customer-focused and strong interpersonal skillsMaintains a constructive and energetic attitudeDemonstrates the ability to work independently while contributing towards team goalsProven reliability and willingness to go the extra mile when requiredPossesses a business-oriented mindset with an attention to costs and efficiencyAbout Sustainable 1
