As a key pillar within Mercedes-Benz.io business operations, our multi-disciplinary Legal & Compliance Team consists of Legal, Compliance and Data Protection specialists working closely together between Portugal and Germany to establish our Mercedes-Benz.io custom made Compliance Culture. IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL Establish, refine and preserve our Data Compliance Management System in close collaboration with our experts in the teamAnalyze legal and regulatory requirements, translate them to the Mercedes-Benz.io setting and address resulting implications within the companyMake sure all GDPR requirements are being met by supporting your colleagues in fully grasping and living up to data protection standardsBe the gatekeeper and caretaker of our company's Record of Processing ActivitiesSupport in setting up contracts and agreements regarding data protectionGive advice on calibration and implementation of tools we operate with to ensure their compliance with data protection standardsRemain in close contact with our IT security and data management expertsConstantly challenge and improve processes as well as their thorough documentationBe the go-to person in the company for any data protection and privacy questions and a trustful contact point for employees in compliance mattersSpread your expert knowledge in consultations, workshops and trainingsTO SUCCEED YOU NEED A degree in law, data governance, compliance, or IT related studiesProven experience in a data governance / data protection role and advanced knowledge in data protection lawA confident appearance and experience in conducting trainings and workshopsA hands-on and collaborative mindsetA proactive personality that just loves to get things doneStrong organizational skills in order to prioritize and manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneouslyExcellent verbal and written communication skills in Portuguese and EnglishA high degree of professional ethics and integrity as well as a high level of confidentialityTHERE WILL BE BIG SMILES IF YOU Feel comfortable in a fast-changing environmentHave previous compliance experience related to medium to large sized companies with tech focusCan call a certification in data protection or privacy by a recognized certification body your own (i.e. CIPP/E or CIPM)
