We are looking for a Data Engineer , to take our photo crowd-sourcing platform to the next level. As a data-driven company we collect, store and process huge sets of data; for these the candidate should be able to choose optimal solutions and implement, maintain and monitor them. We are working with hundreds of customers, exponential traffic growth and millions of impressions per month, so your work will be seen and used by millions of people.
What you'll be doing:
Work closely with data scientists and engineers to design and maintain scalable data models and pipelines.
Implement efficient and robust solutions to collect, process and store data.
Design, build and maintain ETL workflows.
Monitoring data infrastructure and anticipate any necessary change.
Maintain high coding standards and cross-functional interaction with other teams.
Optimize database schema based on usage patterns.
Keep updated with new technologies and potential solutions.
Software development using agile methodologies.
Participate in engineering training meetings and tech talks.
What we’re looking for:
+4 years of experience in backend development (some experience in Python is required).
Strong SQL skills.
Experience with high availability and auto-scalable projects.
Experience with data manipulation in large volumes, from relational databases and/or structured sources.
Strong algorithms, data structures and coding background.
TDD/BDD believer and advocate.
Strong knowledge in design patterns.
Experience with software engineering best practices.
Fluent in English.
Nice to Have:
Experience with big data processing frameworks (Hadoop, Spark, Storm, etc)
Experience with unix based operating systems.
Experience with GIT.
Experience with Amazon Web Services.
Experience with Open Source projects.
Experience with continuous integrations and continuous deployment.
Experience with agile methodologies (SCRUM).
