Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Design Engineer with a strong background in Automotive and a comprehensive understanding of the development process. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Parts Design,remanufacturing, utilizing Design & Simulation tools, Manufacturing processes, and Validation methods. The candidate should possess expertise in Automotive components Design, Development, and Testing, with a focus on Engine or Transmission parts development.
Key Responsibilities: Automotive Knowledge:Demonstrate a deep understanding of Automotive systems and their development processes especially in Engine and Transmission components.Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in Automotive development.Design and Simulation:Utilize Parts Design and Simulation tools to create innovative and efficient solutions.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet performance, cost, and manufacturability requirements.Manufacturing Processes and Validation:Apply expertise in various Manufacturing processes to optimize component production.Develop and implement Validation methods to ensure the reliability and functionality of Automotive components.Testing and Data Analysis:Conduct thorough testing of components and systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications.Perform detailed data analysis and present findings to obtain management signoff for the release of components into the market.Engine or Transmission Parts Development:Preferred experience in the development of Engine or Transmission components.Contribute to the enhancement and optimization of Engine and Transmission systems.Teardown Analysis:Conduct engine level and component level teardowns for analysis purposes.Prepare detailed teardown reports, documenting findings and recommendations for improvement.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or related field. Master's degree is a plus.Proven experience in Automotive components Design, Development, and Testing.Proficiency in Parts Design and Simulation tools (e.g., CAD, NX)Strong knowledge of Manufacturing processes and Validation methods.Excellent data analysis skills, with the ability to present findings to diverse audiences.Previous experience in Engine or Transmission parts development is highly desirable.Attributes: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Results-driven with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
