About the position We are looking for a highly talented and motivated development engineer to take responsibility for the electric vehicle
charging system interoperability testing of our Mercedes-Benz vehicles in the South Korean market.
To ensure the highest level of maturity of our eDrive charging system and to ensure interoperability to the various charging
systems in South Korea, you will be responsible for:
Development and continuous improvement of testing strategies and concepts for interoperability testing and validation Definition and continuous refinement of test cases and test procedures, especially with consideration of market specific aspects Support in test vehicle logistics as well as test vehicle preparation (e.g. SW update coordination) Test and validation of charging performance and interoperability for all Mercedes-Benz carlines (BEVs and PHEVs) Detailed documentation and consolidation of test and validation results (incl. pre.-analysis) In-depth investigation of identified issues with the relevant development teams (e.g. in Germany) as well as with local charging system providers Follow-up on, and verification of, measures to improve the eDrive systems performance and charging interoperability Assessment of the maturity of the charging systems, incl. release recommendation Perform charging interoperability testing with prototype test vehicles in lab & field settings Work independently and meet deadlines. Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally Qualifications Education academic degree in automotive engineering, computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering or a relevant discipline (GPA above average, master's degree preferred) Professional skills Min. 3 years of professional experience in automotive engineering, related to electric vehicles (eDrive system,
charging systems) Deep understanding of EV/HV systems.Vehicle Charging Systems, and industry standards  Deep understanding of BV/PHEV test methodologies and issue management processes  Experience in a related function with a demonstrated track record of extraordinary achievement Experience in test and validation of automotive components/modules (test strategies/concepts, test cases creation,
testing, documentation, etc.) Experience in using automotive tools for debugging, logging and configuring ECUs Good understanding of vehicle networking architectures (e.g. CAN, FlexRay, Ethernet, etc.) very good organization and cooperation in dynamic, interdisciplinary and international project teams Personal skills excellent analytical and problem solving skills high level of self-initiative and proactive attitude ability to multi-task, prioritize and systematically analyze issues team player capabilities with very good networking abilities well-developed communication competence in multi-cultural work environment very good language proficiency in Business English, fluent in written and spoken (German also beneficial) safe and advanced driving skills with South Korean driver license for passenger cars willingness to travel domestically and internationally advanced Korean language skills Self-starter, Driven to Suceed with limited supervision and excellent team player #J-18808-Ljbffr
