Position Overview: I am seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Logistics to help my client optimise their logistic operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of logistics operations to ensure the efficient movement of goods throughout the global supply chain network.
Responsibilities: Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimise efficiency and reduce costs.Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities.Collaborate with internal teams to forecast demand, plan inventory levels, and ensure timely delivery of products.Negotiate contracts with carriers, suppliers, and other partners to secure favourable terms and pricing.Lead and develop a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support as needed.Ensure compliance with local and international regulations governing logistics operations.Continuously assess and improve logistics processes to enhance overall performance and customer satisfaction.Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.Minimum of 8 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Proven track record of successfully managing complex logistics operations in a global environment.Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to drive decision-making and process improvements.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate challenges and develop effective solutions.Proficiency in logistics management software and other relevant technology tools.Fluency in English and Italian Location: South Italy
