ExxonMobil affiliates have been operating in Argentina for more than 100 years. Today, ExxonMobil in Argentina employs approximately 1,700 people through several Exxon Mobil Corporation affiliates: ExxonMobil Exploration Argentina S.R.L, Mobil Argentina S.A., and ExxonMobil Business Support Center Argentina S.R.L. Since 2011, ExxonMobil Exploration Argentina (EMEA) has had a presence in the unconventional Vaca Muerta shale oil and shale gas.
EMEA has interest in multiple blocks in the Neuquén basin together with other partners, operating five of the seven blocks in which it has participation. There are multiple JVs, including 4 pilots under 35:year concessions in the following blocks: Bajo del Choique:La Invernada, Pampa de las Yeguas, Los Toldos 1 South and Sierra Chata.
In 2015, the Neuquén provincial government granted the first 35:year Unconventional Exploitation Concession to the Bajo del Choique/La Invernada block for EMEA. In 2016, following the successful initial exploration results in that block, EMEA began a pilot project. The project will enable EMEA to continue to assess the productivity and recovery of horizontal wells in the Vaca Muerta.

Responsibilities 13;
:Reports directly to a Drilling Supervisor or Superintendent. Works closely with the Operations Superintendent and other operations personnel to implement the most effective drilling and completions operations.
:Responsible for preparing, and revising when necessary, a complete drilling or completions program. Works closely with other groups to assure the program is based on all available geological information and drilling information from other wells in the area (if any).
:Surveillance of day:to:day drilling progress to ensure the Drilling Program is conducted applying the best technology, and proposes modifications, if required.
:Analyze drilling performance at intermediate depths and upon completion of the well. Works with Operations personnel to implement changes in procedures and equipment based on results of this analysis.
:Responsible for implementing operations integrity processes and internal design guidelines established by Management.
:Focuses on minimum kit design and justified additions to lower well costs. 13;
Required Education and Experience 13;
:B.Sc. Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Petroleum preferred) and required minimum of 7 years drilling engineering experience.
:Ability to work independently and effectively on a team. 13;
