Job Responsibilities1. Management of monthly accounting processes, reporting, and analysis for areas supported and understanding of respective global balance sheets2. Independent decision making3. Conducting and understanding complex accounting projects and transactions4. Development and documentation of policies and procedures for managed areas5. Insurance that financial information is fairly presented in accordance with US GAAP and Firm policies6. Compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, Control Self Assessments and other internal control policies7. Providing timely and accurate financial information to management8. Supporting internal and external audit activities and inquiries with a controls mindset9.Maintaining effective communication lines across a global organization10. Participating in and documentation of project/business case reviews11. Establishment and maintenance of relationships with internal customers (Planning and Analysis teams, HR Business leads, Sourcing, Procurement, Accounts Payable, Corporate Tax, Legal Entity Controllers)12. Understanding and compliance with policies and procedures related to merger activities13. Leading process improvement projects14. Understanding robotics and automation tools to drive efficiencies15. Project or change managementQualifications- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance- 4-8 years of relevant experience required in accounting or finance, with demonstrated career progression- Big Four public accounting experience, large corporate experience and/or CPA strongly preferred, and strong US GAAP accounting knowledge- Experience with General Ledger bookings and oversight of monthly close processes including balance sheet reconciliation/substantiation,journal entries, and variance analysis- Structured mindset with process/continuous improvement orientation and automation or intelligent solution experience preferred- Proven ability to interface with various partners and customers- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills- Strong analytical and financial skills with a track record of execution against deliverables- Creative self-starter with strong initiative, ability to take ownership and work independently as well as contribute to the broader team- Ability to multi-task and succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment- Excellent oral and written communication skills, multi-national language skills preferable, but not required- Experience preferred with automated financial systems (SAP),database management, worksheet-modeling tools (Excel), and EssbaseOriginal job Financial Controller posted on GrabJobs .
