OST's Headquarters is in Miami, Florida, but our employees work remotely worldwide. Our 3 main locations are Miami, Mexico City, Mexico, and Buenos Aires, Argentina. We are seeking talented software experts to join our team near one of our three locations. About the Role: You'll identify and fix software bugs to ensure a seamless user experience. Collaborate closely with backend developers for smooth integration and contribute to the development of new features based on project requirements. Adhere to coding standards and best practices while implementing visually appealing interfaces in collaboration with UI/UX designers. Your collaborative approach across teams should ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions. Onboarding: For the first few months, this candidate will be required to work in the office 2-3 times a week with the CEO and Engineering lead for faster onboarding. After a few months, a more hybrid approach will be accepted. Responsibilities: Research and identify solutions for issues in our software systems.Ensure all issues are properly logged and documentedPrioritize and manage several open issues at one timeDocument technical knowledge in the form of notes and manualsCollaborate with the project team to understand product changes and requirements to deal with issues/defects promptlyAssist in maintaining organized task management, ensuring all bugs are logged and tracked. Identify, log, and track bugs and other issuesWork closely with the development team to ensure that all aspects of the system are working well after the issue is reported/fixedMonitor application performance and troubleshoot issuesMaintain quality standards and make sure that all products meet customer expectationsQualifications: Intermediate English level (important)Proven programming experience working with a modern frontend framework like React or NextJS.Experience working in the backend with Javascript or Ruby. Preferably With NestJS or Ruby On Rails.Experience with version control systems.Knowledge of web security best practices.Ability to quickly adapt, learn, and solve problems.Team player, willing to jump outside their role to help the greater team.Ability to research as you work.Ability to be accountable for your own time in a fully remote environment.The desire to contribute to a growing, dynamic team and help shape process, practice, and operations.You will need to provide your own workspace with reliable Internet service.Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products.Agile + Scrum Methodology knowledge.You are passionate about the startup environment and eager to learn.You have a keen eye for detail and excel in documentation.You are highly organized and proficient in task management.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Frontend/Backend understanding is a mustAbility to write, read, and understand code (Javascript and others)Knowledge of bug tracking and issue management tools.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Experience working with monitoring tools like Sentry, New Relic, etc. Benefits/Compensation: Hybrid - occasionally a few times a week in the office and the rest remoteContract-based employmentStarting at $1500 - $2500 depending on qualificationsUnlimited PTOThere are currently NO formal benefits packages available (health insurance, retirement plans).Trial period for 2 months after which we will reevaluate the contractFreelance - we are open to itPLEASE SEND RESUME IN ENGLISH.
