We seek a skilled and experienced Back End Java Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should possess a strong hands-on background in Java development, database management, and demonstrate a willingness to be trained and act as a QA when needed. A keen orientation to detail and a solid business understanding are essential soft skills for this role.
What You Will Do:Develop robust and scalable software applications using Java, with a preference for version 11 and above.Design and manage relational (PostgreSQL) and/or document databases, including data modeling and querying using SQL.Actively participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.Ensure applications are free of common coding vulnerabilities and adhere to standard security practices.Collaborate effectively with cross-geographical teams that include developers, testers, and product managers.Positively contribute to the improvement of the team's quality, efficiency, and capability.Follow and contribute to your team's processes, best practices, methodologies, and guidelines.Be willing to get trained and perform QA tasks as required to ensure high-quality deliverables.Requirements:3 to 5 years of hands-on experience with building secure, scalable, performant Java/Spring applications (version 11 and above).Experience working with Spring Boot is required.Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and/or document databases, including data modeling and SQL querying.Advanced proficiency in English.Strong orientation to detail and business understanding.Nice to Have Skills:Knowledge/experience in Apache Camel/Integration including basic routing, error handling, split-aggregate, and dynamic routing.Knowledge of web services protocols (SOAP, JSON, Rest API).Understanding and experience with cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).Knowledge of Angular, React, Struts, or similar front-end technologies.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.Relevant certifications.Why work for Launchpad?100% remotePeople first cultureExcellent compensation in US DollarsHardware setup for working from homeWork with global teams and prominent brands based in North America, Europe, and AsiaTraining allowancesPersonal time off (PTO) for vacations, study leave, personal time, etc....and more!Join us and be a part of a team that values quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
