As Manager of the Buenos Aires Product program team, you will meaningfully impact how our organization scales by developing and expanding the local team of Product program managers. Product programs at MuleSoft is responsible for ensuring effective execution of a large suite of programs and operations from portfolio management and roadmapping to company, customer and product readiness for all releases. We value collaboration and transparent communication and need someone who is technically strong, energetic and passionate about teamwork and continuous improvement. In this role you will ensure consistent best practices are applied and influence the overall global programs engagement delivery approach. The position requires working closely with MuleSoft senior leadership (C-level, SVP and VP) across the business including: product management, engineering, architecture, operations, product marketing, sales, technical field and back office teams.
Responsibilities
Own all facets of day-to-day management of the team including:
Recruiting, hiring, training and career development
Mentoring and developing Product program managers to drive high quality Program deliveries that lead to successful business outcomes
Ensuring best practices are known and followed
Establish product program management center for best practices and team training
Promote and build understanding and credibility of the program management role within the organization
Achieve or exceed monthly/quarterly/yearly business targets for the team
Track and report on program activity and deliver feedback on key metrics to senior management
Work with program and product leadership to support and track optimal capacity planning and budget allocation
Partner with the engineering services team to refine and provide feedback on tools and processes that will cultivate efficient and effective resources for program delivery
Make and/or drive clear and timely decisions in conjunction with product leadership to balance risk, effort and timelines and prevent team ‘thrash’Experience/Skills Required:
Bachelors or Masters Degree in a technical field
5+ years experience in technical program or project management
2+ years people management experience
Experience working with senior level executives
Considerable interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others
Experienced and skilled in large-scale change management initiatives
Strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate with highly technical cross-functional teams
Experience with Agile development methodologies
Self directed, has the ability to prioritize, multi-task and perform effectively under pressure.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent presentation skills
Minimum of monthly (or more frequent) travel to work with team members in Pilar
Occasional international travel to San Francisco for key meetings (expected quarterly), but may vary based on internal needsExperience/Skills Desired:
2+ years of MuleSoft product knowledge, end user experience, systems integration, consulting and/or implementation experience.
Experience leading software development projects and/or technically demanding projects
Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices including coding standards, code reviews, SCM, CI, build processes, testing, and operations.
Experience working with global companies and distributed, multi-cultural teams
One or more certifications in: Lean, Scrum, Kanban or Scaled Agile certifications such as PMP, PMI-ACP or other PMI certifications, APMG, Six Sigma Belts, SAFe etc.
