These fully-customized solutions – unified communications and collaboration, SIP trunking, fiber optic connectivity, business Wi-Fi, networking and structured cabling – have a proven record and are trusted by businesses.Role Summary:Reporting to the Technology Director, the Network Administrator will be responsible to manage the Network Environment, including technical architecture and design activities which focus on reducing costs and improving services through improved processes within business and IT strategies.Scope of responsibility include: architecture, analysis, documentation, support and assistance with strategy and design, all related to Datacenters and networking in general.Main Responsibilities:• Drive and influence architecture and strategy to align with business needs and growth;• Collaborate with the project team to drive project implementation requirements, deliverables and managed services;• Meet clients in person or remote with sales team from time-to-time;• Provide technical explanations to clients whether on the phone or in person relating to service or projects;• Must travel to a client location when required;• Assure support and maintenance required to optimize the network;• Compile statistics and reports as necessary on network performance and utilization;• Responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, design engineering and problem resolution of Datacenter(s) equipment's (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.) and services (MPLS, MPLS over Broadband, DIA, etc.) in a complex, challenging operational environment;• Identify, document and report issues to key stakeholders;• Coordinate and implement network changes as necessary;• Install and configure technical components and supporting software.• Maintain network devices including physical swapping of devices, cards and cables;• Evaluate emerging technologies and business potential or impact (including prototyping);• Evaluate and influence selection of vendors & products, facilitate proof of concept analysis;• Participate in Architectural Review Process, ensuring architecture and design reviews are approved prior to implementation into production;• Providing technical coaching & mentoring other colleagues;• Providing Level 2 Network Support to our Service Department;• Respond to escalated support requests after business hours. Day to day administration of the broadcast equipment and Server environment.Qualifications and Competencies:• Five years' experience in network management;• Network Access Technologies: In depth understanding of network access technologies including: WIFI access, Switched Ethernet and potentially ISP network equipment including DSLAMs;• Excellent French & English oral and written communication skills;• Ability to communicate and collaborate efficiently;• Methodological skills, strong problem-solving abilities;• Juniper certification or CCNP;• Proactive attitude;• Ability to innovate and think out of the box;• High interest in continuous self-learning and development (new tools, technologies, methodologies);• Self-motivation to achieve consistently high-quality results;• Openness to share knowledge and best practices with the team;• Ability to use simplicity in complex projects.We Offer:• Competitive salary• Laptop and mobile device• Group insurance Plan• VRSP PlanWe are committed to employment equity.
