• Manage the development and creation of procurement requisitions and work orders for capital projects implemented by the Engineering Alliance.
Assist with vendor liaison and equipment expediting
Management of Materials onsite on behalf of the Engineering AllianceSpecific accountabilities
• Safety - Responsible for personal safety and safe working practices for personnel working for you and around you. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.
• Preparation of Tender and Procurement Documentation and Acquisition Plans in conjunction with the Project Manager
• Creation of purchase requisitions, work orders and stock reservations on the Caltex SAP system
• Updating of construction work packs with relevant purchase orders and work orders and associated budgets
• Interfacing with the Caltex Procurement department for placing of vendor enquiries, tender packages and purchase orders.
• Review of materials and equipment delivered versus project bills of materials
• Ensuring material records and certifications are valid, delivered and recorded with project materials
• Maintaining project records for procurement and materials certification and providing the required records to Caltex
• Expediting of goods and services to meet project schedules
• Provision of procurement status reports as required by project managers
• Tracking of materials once delivered to Caltex site
• Interfacing with Construction Field Engineers and Field Supervisors for project procurement requirements
• Coordination of Quality Inspection and Progress review of equipment being fabricated in offsite work shops
Essential skills/experience
• Demonstrable commitment to HSE management in a project environment
Excellent communication and interfacing skills
Working knowledge of material certification requirements
A high level of customer focus.
Matching indicators
• Previous procurement and expediting experience with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience
Sound understanding of material management systems and expediting methodologies
